Weight Loss Psychology – Your Weight Is Like An Iceberg (80% of the problem is beneath the surface)

Weight Loss Psychology – Your Weight Is Like An Iceberg (80% of the problem is beneath the surface)

Women all around the world have experienced this: they go on a diet, lose some weight and after a while they gain the lost weight back. The harder the diet was, the more frustrating this is.

Yes, the awareness that diets don’t work is rapidly growing among women all around the world. But what is the alternative to the dieting/exercise approach?

That’s a great question and the answer is not obvious…unfortunately. There are many theories out there, and most of them are quick fixes which really don’t fix anything. This is very confusing for a woman who is looking for serious answers.

I personally had to grow into my sixties, work with over 10,000 women worldwide, I had to go through decades of struggling with my weight to detect at least 75 possible root causes of weight gain in women. This may sound like an intimidating number but it’s not nearly as hopeless to find your root causes as you may think. As a matter of fact, understanding your root cause will significantly speed up the weight loss process, and in most cases the result is sustainable, unless there is another root cause in effect.

So let’s first talk about root causes.

There are five levels on which a cause for weight gain can happen:

  1. Physical pillar: For example. toxic overload, hormonal imbalance, food intolerances, some auto-immune diseases, parasites, stress and many more. Actually, eating too much and a lack of exercise are only two of the 72 causes I have counted so far. So please forget dieting for a moment.
  2. Your emotions: When there is an emotional imbalance of some sort, this can lead to many behavioral habits. The habits in that case are only the symptom but not the cause. Especially for women, the emotional pillar is a big one when it comes to weight loss. Some of the most common emotional causes are a lack of love, not feeling valued, overwhelm, not being seen, etc.
  3. Mindset: Although the first two pillars are very important, the probably most important one to look at is the mindset. Especially women have developed a terrible mindset around food, weight and their body. They are often so fixated on what to eat and what to wear on any given day, that they think of their weight all day long. And after a while those thoughts become so automated that they run on autopilot on a more subconscious level. And that is really dangerous because the women are then not even aware of their thinking anymore. Therefore, uprooting a negative mindset is a very important and large part of my work because this is something most women can’t handle by themselves anymore.
  4. Subconscious Mind: According to psychologists, 80% of the problems are in the subconscious mind, why it is almost impossible for most of the women to understand what the real problem behind their weight issue is. The good news is that 80% of the solution is also on that level, and that’s where my expertise is. The largest part of the work is the digging and the finding. Once we have found the subconscious patterns, it’s easy and fast to transform them. And equally the weight loss process is also fast and relatively effortless. Even transforming past trauma is most of the time a matter of a few weeks or a couple of months.
  5. Spiritual level: It happens more and more that we can also see some spiritual issues and root causes behind weight problems, for example when there is some karma involved.

Imagine you never having to worry about your weight ever again!

Go and dig deeper.

Go look beneath the surface. The problem is not the stomach but the psychology behind the eating. The problem is not what a person eats but why she eats what she eats. Is she bored? Is she lonely? Is she unfulfilled? Does she feel under-valued? Does she feel abandoned? Is she with the wrong partner or at the wrong job? Has she been abused?

I can tell you that in my 40 years of working with overweight women I have seen and heard hundreds of different stories. Never ever did I recommend any of the over 10,000 participants to do a diet. Develop health eating, yes, but not a weight loss diet.  What we do is learn to apply an overall healthy lifestyle just for the sake of a healthy body.

How on earth do you want to fix that with gastric surgery?

How on earth does anybody believe that it’s enough to get you on a diet?

Here are a few examples of women who lost weight simply by transforming their root causes:

  • I lost 54 pounds and kept it off for 14 years after I transformed some childhood trauma. I didn’t do any diet and I did not exercise at that time.
  • Trudy lost weight after she realized that her root cause was a rape. Once she had transformed that traumatic situation in our coaching, she lost weight without changing her diet or exercise regimen.
  • Tina wanted to find the love of her life, and after we have transformed her invisible wall which has repelled the right men before, she not only found the love of her life, she also lost weight although this was never her goal or focus.
  • Giselle lost 45 pounds withing 12 weeks without changing her eating habits nor did she exercise. In her case we had to deal with some family problems, she had to change the job and she too found the love of her life at the age of 55. Check out this blog post: https://www.angelabuhri.com/case-study-giselle-from-a-total-ruin-on-all-levels-to-having-it-all/
  • As a teenager, Mavies found out that she is gay, and being raised in a catholic family she never learned how to deal with her feelings. So she closed up and did not allow anybody into her life and heart. When I met her, she had just survived two heart attacks and breast cancer, and her face seemed lifeless, like hidden behind a thick layer of fog. After we started working together she learned to love unconditionally regardless of the sex of a person. She has accomplished that within the first month of working with me and is still in the transformation process.

For many women, the extra weight serves as a protective shield. In those cases a coach should never take that away from her through a diet, a pill or a gastric surgery. The very first job of a coach in such a situation is to replace that protective layer with another form of protection and through helping their client to set healthy boundaries so that the weight is no longer needed.

Please, don’t be afraid of looking deeper. It’s so deliberating to break free from these invisible shackles and to find your true, slim you underneath these layers.

Although it requires a little bit more than changing your eating habits, it’s still the easiest, fastest, most sustainable and quickest way to lose your weight. Why? Because it’s the most direct way.

Start melting your personal ‘iceberg’!

Happy slimming :-).

7 Weeks to Healthy Drinking Habits for Maintainable Weight Loss

Doctors will tell you that eight glasses of liquidity per day is enough…any liquidity. I disagree. While eight glasses are far too little, many women have a problem drinking even that much water every day. Many clients tell me that they have a problem swallowing the water.

The main reason is because your body is not used to drink plain water. It may take several weeks to get used to drinking water at all and then to get used to drinking up to three liters per day. That’s the amount a slim person needs. Now if you’re overweight, you will even need more than that. But let’s start with three liters per day.

Now why am I saying that it has to be water. In fact, I will even as far as telling you that everything else you drink during the day will not count towards the three liters.

There is something very important to understand about drinking. Water is an information carrier, and your body distinguishes between water and liquid “food”. Anything added to the water is considered to being “food” and not used for cleansing purposes. But the body desperately needs the water for cleansing. Ask yourself, would you ever use coffee, tea, juice, soda pop or a smoothie to clean your house? Rather not. In order to carry out the toxins and acids, your body needs clean water without any additions.

Now to the problem to swallow water (what many people have who are not used to drinking plain water). First of all, you and your bladder will get used to after a while. Start small and add one glass per day every week. One way of making it easier to drink water is to find out what temperature works best for you. My body, for example prefers the water to be almost hot, others want it warm, and still others need it ice-cold. To begin with, drink it at the temperature that works best for you.

Generally speaking, to enhance the metabolism, hot water is best. But don’t heat it in the microwave oven, otherwise you will start another negative and fat-creating chain reaction. Boil the water in a water heater and add as much hot water to the cold water as you can tolerate.

How to Know If You’re Dehydrated

Unfortunately, most people live in a chronic state of dehydration.  This leads to massive health issues. The problem is that most people don’t even recognize the sensation of thirst anymore. When your mouth is feeling dry, you’re already heavily dehydrated.

Other symptoms are dry lips and eyes. If you don’t deal with dehydration ASAP, heavier symptoms will be chronic fatigue, irritability, brain fog, constipation, and rapid pulse.

Why water for better weight loss?

  • You have more energy and being active is easier.
  • Your body can better detoxify what leads to faster weight loss.
  • Your body can better release acid what leads to faster weight loss.
  • Your liver needs the water to better burn fat.
  • Water increases calorie burning.
  • Most people can’t distinguish between hunger and thirst and eat when they’re thirsty what leads to more food intakes than they really need. Thus drinking more water leads to weight loss.
  • It may suppress your appetite.
  • Water boosts your metabolism.
  • Drinking more water make exercise easier and more efficient.
  • Most drinks contain calories. Drinking water could help reduce your overall liquid calorie intake.
  • Water transports nutrients in our bloodstream and aids in digestion. Thus you get less hungry.
  • Water improves the lubrication of your joints.

Additional benefits:

  • You’ll save a lot of money
  • Your over-all health improves.
  • Water may improve motivation and reduce stress
  • Drinking enough water reduces brain fog and increases focus and concentration.
  • Water keeps your skin bright
  • Water regulates blood pressure
  • Water is vital for the function of nearly all of the body’s systems.

What kind of water should you drink?

The best water would be clean spring water, but many people don’t have access to spring water.

The second best is tap water. If you don’t have good tap water, invest in a good water filter.

I don’t recommend drinking bottled water. But sometimes you just don’t have a choice. In that situation I recommend changing the water brand often and don’t drink any mineral water with carbonic acid.

If you want to speed up your detoxification, you can drink a glass of distilled water per day.

How much water do you need?

Slim people need 3 liters of water per day. Overweight people need 4 to 5 liters of water per day, depending on their weight. You can check the color of your urine. If your kidneys are healthy, your urine will be dark and smelly when you don’t drink enough water. Light yellow is ideal.

The National Academy of Medicine (NAM) in the United States recommends women to drink 2.700ml per day and men to drink 3.700ml per day.

How can you track your water intake? It helps me to keep track on the amount of water by filling four 1-liter glass bottles in the morning. By dinner they have to be empty.

Why salt?

80% of the planet consists of salt water. Likewise our body is made of 80% of salt water. Most of all, you need the salt for the electrolytes.

Forget about any additives. The only thing your body absolutely needs is a few grains of  salt in every second or third glass of water, but only enough for the water to taste soft and not salty. But please, don’t use any salt. Organic sea salt, Himalayan salt, or organic stone salt is best.

Reasons why you need salt with your water:

  • Because of the electrolytes
  • Because our body consists to 80% of water
  • Our blood is “salt water” as well
  • Your body can better bring the water to every part and transport all the toxins and acid away from your soft tissue
  • It makes the water feel soft and thus it’s easier to drink

How to change your drinking habits step by step

  • Week 1: Replace all other drinks by water – use the same cup or bottle you usually use for your coffee, tea, pop, juice, etc.
  • Week 2: drink a glass of hot water right after getting up in the morning before breakfast
  • Week 3: drink a second glass of water right after the first one in the morning and add a few grains of Himalayan salt, organic sea salt, or organic stone salt
  • Week 4: whatever else you drink, take an additional 2 glasses of water before lunch (500ml)
  • Week 5: whatever else you drink, take an additional 2 glasses of water before dinner (500ml)
  • Week 6: drink an additional 500ml of water between breakfast and lunch
  • Week 7: drink an additional 500ml of water between lunch and dinner

Further tips:

  • Make it a habit to finish a glass of water all at once. Don’t put the glass out of your hands until it’s empty.
  • Fill three to four 1-liter bottles in the morning and make it a habit to drink throughout the day so that all four bottles will be drunk before dinner. Start slowly and increase your daily water intake every week or two. Your body first needs to learn to deal with more water.
  • Stop drinking water three hours before going to bed.

At the beginning you will have to go to the toilet more often. That’s normal. After a few months your body begins to deal with the increased amount of water differently and increase the volume of the bladder. So be prepared that you will need to visit the toilet more often at the beginning. That’s the price you have to pay for faster weight loss and improved overall health.

What else can you do?

Habits are among the biggest stumbling blocks regarding weight loss and make it close to impossible to move beyond a certain weight. Habits constantly sabotage even your strongest weight loss goals. They can completely bypass your mind and your willpower and make you act without you even being aware of.

Habits can’t be overcome with discipline and willpower. There is no discipline strong enough to over-rule habits.

Habits can’t be eliminated. They’re burned into our brains. For these reasons, habits seem to be very hard to overcome because most people try to overrule them with willpower and discipline. That will never work.

Habits can only be transformed.

Learn how to transform all fattening habits and you’ll start losing weight seemingly automatically. By the way, there are eight groups of habits which contribute to weight gain and the inability to lose it.

Weight Loss Psychology – How Your House Can Make You Fat

Weight Loss Psychology – How Your House Can Make You Fat

By now you have learned about several contributing factors and root causes of weight gain and the inability to lose extra fat.

But have you ever heard that your clutter could add to your weight, too?

When I heard that for the first time from my friend and interview partner Linda J.Binns I was not surprised at all. Because stuck energy is stuck energy is stuck energy….

It just began to make so much sense to me.

Did you ever hear the expression “As within so without?” Actually, it’s not an expression but nothing less but one of the seven Universal Laws, just like the Law of Attention is one of them and true for everything and everyone. Whether you like it or not, these Universal Laws just work with or without you believing in them and with or without your active contribution. Your outer body is just a reflection of what’s going on inside of you, and likewise your home is as well a reflection of your inner world.

When I asked Linda if it could really be that easy to get rid of clutter and lose weight she answered: “Well, it can certainly my be a contributing or helping factor. Now you know what I want to avoid is people thinking that they can go out and get rid of everything and automatically lose weight. What I hope to show through this interview is the connection between the stuff that we accumulate and any weight that we accumulate and help you understand that and to understand what’s going on, what’s the connection there and how from that perspective when you let go of the clutter, it can actually have a positive impact on your weight as well.”

To that I want to add that it’s all about energy and your inner energy. If you just want to proof us wrong and declutter your house without going through the inner process of letting go, not much will happen. You will feel relieved and lighter, but that doesn’t necessarily means that your fat is now going to burn off like crazy. However, it can. It all depends on what is going on within you. You not only have to ready to let go of clutter but also be ready and willing to let go of everything that lead to weight gain and that is keeping you overweight.

The thing is that the more clutter one has, the more it attracts and that by sorting out one’s stuff literally sorts out one’s life.

“When we attract something, when we are attracting the clutter into our lives, clutter is a symptom of something that is going with us. When you think of energy flow, what clutter does is it stops energy flowing and it creates stuck energy around us. So, when we accumulate clutter, it’s a symptom that something is not in alignment within us and so we accumulate stuff as a symptom of something being out of balance inside of us and that can be. You may not be experiencing it yet as health issues but then you may as well. And then the more stuff you have, the more it adds to itself. And when you sort out that stuff, as you sort out that stuff it starts to help you come more into balance energetically and physically. So you know it starts out as a symptom as you start to address it and you sort out the stuff, it could help you to find the solution for whatever is going on with you on a physical level.”

8 Weight Loss Experts Reveal The Truth.

******************************************************************

Dealing with the clutter & letting some things go, can really bring major changes in one’s life. When I asked Linda what of change we might experience by decluttering, she answered, “You can really  expect any kind of change.  I mean it really depends on the person and what’s going on in their life. But as I said, collecting clutter, accumulating stuff is a symptom of something that is not right in your life or something that is not right with you. So, as you start to eliminate the clutter and you start to deal with that, anything can change. And I had people experience all kinds of different changes from suddenly finding the  answer to a problem they have been experiencing for many years, or the right person suddenly showing up to help them, or business owners when  they let go off stuff attracting new clients seemingly out of the blue. You know what it does is … as you let go off the stuff, it opens up the space for things to change, for the things that you do really need to come into your life. And so really anything can happen depending on what’s going on with the person at the time.”

“As you let go off the stuff, it opens up the space for things to change, for the things that you do really need to come into your life.”

Of course, this is very individual.  What happens to one person as a result of her letting go process may not happen to anybody else. You can’t tell in advance what is going to change for you. That’s the beauty of inner processes in general: they are entirely individual and so are the results. And although I’m repeating myself – I have to so that you really understand that from the depth of your heart – this can nor will it ever happen with a diet or exercise program. Healthy eating and exercise always have to be part of a sensible weight loss strategy, but they don’t solve the root causes. And that’s really the most important part about my work – I never know in advance how things are going to work out for any particular client. Still after 38 years of doing this work I often get surprised about the results.

To that Linda adds, “It is really very individual. And yes, it’s different for everybody … all I can tell you is that, if you address this, if you deal with the clutter, things can and will change for you for the better.” And the best about this is, that things will change in the best possible way for you, what is the best for you.

Linda is a Feng Shui expert and was often called to look at people’s houses. So I asked her how common clutter is among overweight people and if she can see a common pattern.

“Yes! It’s very common. Even if it’s not the whole house, there is usually some area, at least one area. Very often it will be the closet. I remember walking with one couple – they didn’t have weight issues but they had health issues –  their house was immaculate, but what they had was a basement and an attic absolutely full to the brim of stuff.  Boxes and boxes of stuff, there was no energy movement at all. So, they were living in a kind of sandwich between this stuck energy. So, it may not be everywhere in your house, but it will be somewhere, and if you have any issue with weight, I can almost guarantee you have issues with clutter somewhere in your home.”

Holly wow! When I heard that I was never more motivated to go through all my stuff and get rid of some clutter.

The interesting thing is that enhancements through Feng Shui can never be fully effective as long as there is clutter and thus the flow of energy is still blocked. So many women who struggle with weight constantly feel kind of stuck in their lives, or even imprisoned. So I asked Linda if the simple act of decluttering could positively affect the energy flow in our bodies; especially weight related energy that may be trapped.

“Yes! Just simply decluttering absolutely affects the energy flow in your body . And you know weight is stuck energy. It means that … it’s not simply a question of diet and exercise for everybody. I know of many women who are overweight because of not eating enough, for example. But the weight issue goes so much deeper than just diet and exercise; and what you have to understand is that your environment is simply a reflection of what is going on with you. It’s a reflection of everything that’s going on in your life and again, the clutter is simply a symptom, it’s a sign of what is going on within you. So, when you deal with that clutter and you start to release and open up the energy, it has a very positive effect on your own personal energy because you are directly connected to your home. It’s a reflection of you. So, as you start to clear out that clutter, it starts to clear out your own energy.”

I am sure that ninety percent of my readers now thank Linda for that statement that being overweight is very often not a matter of eating, and it’s true.

So do you feel that you want to declutter a particular closet or a drawer?

Go do it! You will feel lighter after. Besides, your motivation may not get any higher to declutter than it is right now. So use that positive energy.

6 Daily Habits That Are Worse Than Smoking & Make Fat

6 Daily Habits That Are Worse Than Smoking & Make Fat

Since a few years we are occasionally being told that there are some bad habits that are as bad or even worse for our health as smoking.

For decades I thought that smoking is the unhealthiest habit of all, but apparently there are other habits that are as unhealthy as cigarettes. Scientists and researchers say that some habits expose us to the same toxins we get from cigarettes. Other habits can increase the cancer rates as much as smoking does. And worst of all, the habits we are talking about today also make you fat.

The good news is that fixing those habits is easier than quit smoking.

According to scientists, the worst of all bad habits – besides smoking – is a sedentary lifestyle. Frankly, I have no doubt that sitting all day is very unhealthy. You don’t have to be a physician to understand what sitting all day can do to our body. But what are the alternatives when you have an office job? There are a few ways you can do about that:

  1. Use the breaks to for a short walk.
  2. Use a standing workstation in your office.
  3. When commuting to work, park your car further from the door so that you’re forced to walk a few steps.
  4. Instead of wasting your time in front of the TV, go for a walk in the evening. You will see that this will improve the quality of your sleep.
  5. If you want to do something very good for your body, go to the gym twice a week. 30 minutes each time is already enough.
  6. For the sake of weight loss, going on a daily 45 to 60-minute walk and going to the gym twice per week is enough.
  7. Maybe your issue is not the time but your own weight. If you are too heavy to move, then there is a beautiful thing called water. The heavier you are, the better you will be carried by water and you can move in ways you could never move outside of the water. Swimming therefore is not also healthy, it is also easy on your joints.

Although eating a good amount of protein is important for weight loss, many people eat far too much meat. The biggest problem is the growth hormone IGF-1 farmers use to raise their animals for bigger profits. That substance can promote the growth of cancer cells.

Ways to do it better:

  1. You don’t need meat for each meal. Reduce it to two to five meals per week.
  2. Only buy meat from organically grown free-range and grass-fed animals from licensed organic farms. You will see that their meat tastes much better. Although it is more expensive than the meat you buy in your supermarket, by reducing the amount you can reduce the costs and make the higher quality more affordable. Besides, since organic meat contains no or less toxins, you save money in health costs in the long term.
  3. Instead of meat you can eat several fish meals per week. In order to be on the safer side regarding toxins, I recommend to go with freshwater fish. Try to eat as much fish you eat meat. That way you get the best nutrients from both.
  4. Any kind of beans have very high protein levels and beans are ultra cheap. By adding two or three bean meals per week you can better afford the more expensive organic meat and fish. There is a large variety of legumes: red beans, Borlotti beans, white beans, green beans, lentils in all colors, peas, etc. and they are all high in nutritional value.
  5. Another very good source of proteins is eggs. Here too I highly recommend to only buying eggs from organically raised free-range hens. After a few times of eating organic eggs you will not want any others.
  6. Dairy products is another way of adding proteins. Cheese is great for that purpose. If you are intolerant to dairy products, you can go with Buffalo milk products, they are better to tolerate.

************************************************

I personally loved cooking on my gas stove when I was living in Canada. Many households in North America are equipped with gas stoves. But did you know that every time you cook a meal, you’re getting a dose of carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, and formaldehyde? But not only that. According to scientists, these three contaminants released from gas stoves exceed public health guidelines.

Here is how to avoid that:

  1. While cooking or baking, open your window and/or use your vent hood. This can reduce pollutant levels dramatically. If you only have a vent hood and no window in your kitchen, use the back burners to make sure your vent hood captures the most of the pollutants.

Unfortunately it gets worse regarding cooking. The by far worst and most health hazard habit is using microwave ovens. And it doesn’t matter whether you just defrost some frozen food or heat the food in the oven. First of all, although the manufacturers will tell you, that their ovens don’t leak, they do. Secondly, as soon as you switch on the oven, the electromagnetic radiation goes up dramatically – in other words, they radiate a lot. Thirdly, microwaves alter the DNA in your food and thus your body does not recognize food as such but as toxins. Within only three minutes of eating something microwaved, your blood tests positive for cancer. I know scientists who call microwave ovens “The kiss of death”.

Alternatives:

  1. Use your electric kitchen range to cook and bake.
  2. Heat pre-cooked food in your fry pan with a little bit of healthy oil.
  3. Invest in a steamer oven. They are as convenient as microwave ovens with the difference that the heated food tastes much better than the microwaved food and secondly, they don’t have any of the disadvantages microwave ovens have.

Using bad oils to cook is another health threat. For several years now health experts are warning from using the wrong oils. Most of the time these are cheap ones. When heated, they release compounds that are found in cigarette smoke, such as aldehydes and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.

Healthy oils:

  1. For heating food I use organic, native coconut oil/fat.
  2. For my self-made salad dressings and to sprinkle over the food to give cold and cooked meals a Mediterranian taste I use organic virgin olive oil.
  3. Since I love the smell and taste of butter, for baking and adding to vegetables and smashed potatoes, for example, I use organic butter (from organically fed and grass-fed animals). Do not use the other king of butter.

Many Americans are insanely sleep deprived. Sleep deprivation leads to symptoms like high blood pressure, heart attacks, strokes, and obesity. Studies show that poor sleep or sleep deprivation can speed up the growth of tumors.

Here is what you can do:

  1. Learn a methodical relaxation method like Autogenic Relaxation.
  2. If you feel tired in the morning, you are not getting enough sleep or good quality sleep. Listen to your body and the alarm signals it’s giving you. Take this seriously.
  3. Ask your doctor to send you to a sleep laboratory to get tested for sleep apnea.
  4. During the day, drink enough water. During the night the body intensively detoxifies and cleanses, and that requires enough water. Not drinking enough water can diminish the quality of your sleep or you wake up in the middle of the night and can’t sleep anymore. .
  5. Don’t watch dark or action movies before going to bed because this causes a lot of stress in your nervous system.
  6. Instead of watching TV, you can go for a short walk around the block or get a dose of fresh air in your back yard.

Of course, I would never recommend to rather smoke than falling for the mentioned habits. Smoking is still a no go regarding health in general and weight loss in particular. I do understand that there are health experts and doctors who are telling you that just smoking a few cigarettes per day is not dangerous. I vehemently disagree. Especially with an addiction like smoking you can’t just be a little addicted. Either you are addicted or you’re not. And it is my deep hope that none of my followers, readers and clients is a smoker. Smoking and vaping is one of the worst addictions and far more dangerous than we are being told.

Be it smoking or one of these 6 habits, they all contribute to weight gain…some more and some less. Eliminating these habits ASAP will certainly make it easier to lose weight once you will have chosen a sensible weight loss strategy.

Happy and healthy slimming!

How Impatience Can Completely Spoil Your Weight Loss Process

How Impatience Can Completely Spoil Your Weight Loss Process

We are living in a time where everything has to happen on the push of a button. Because of cell phones and WiFi radiation, people’s attention span has drastically been decreased. When people want something, they want it yesterday. They can’t wait, they can’t allow processes to happen, things to grow and look forward to receiving a gift on Christmas instead of today.

A recent experience with one of my clients has demonstrated this so extremely well that it made me cry for a day.

Let’s call her Martha. Martha has been doing very well with my system. She showed up every day and went through the daily action steps. And because she was so disciplined, she had great weight loss success immediately. Because she was so happy with my program, she decided to become my affiliate partner – partly because she wanted to finance her attendance in one of my programs and also because she wanted some additional income.

Because she was a new affiliate partner I invited her to a free four week affiliate training program where we are meeting four Saturdays for 90 minutes on Zoom. The purpose of that training is to give my partners a great start and fast income, because especially now where so many people in the USA earn less due to the Covid crisis, many people have to earn a side income pretty soon.

Now, if you guessed that like losing weight, earning money as an affiliate might take some time, you are right.

Martha was on the first Saturday call, missed the second one and joined us for the third call. That was before we had even started with the promotion. Monday morning I went online and just wanted to send her the good message that I will get some media appearances in her state to help her earn money faster, when I saw her message. In that message she let me know that she could not commit to more Saturday trainings (four in total) and that therefore she would not want to work as an affiliate.

Did you ever hear about a new job which does not involv any learning?

That woman was just one inch away from the success she wanted, and she quit because of her impatience. Over time I have come to know her quite well, and she is the kind of person who does something in a rush and then changes her mind. And I also know that my method is the only chance for her because she already had a gastric surgery and gone through pretty much all diets that exist (according to her own words).

According to her own words she is a quitter. She would begin something and then quickly give that up and turn to something else. This is the behavior of people who are never successful…neither regarding weight loss nor in live generally.

I see similar situations regarding weight loss so many times. When I work with people in group or one-on-one coaching sessions I see who is shortly before a major breakthrough. And so often women give up right before such a breakthrough moment just because of their impatience.

They can’t wait. They can’t allow a process to happen. And they will never know how close they had come to their goal.

Then they go on the next fad diet, take expensive weight loss products or get a gastric surgery done which create tremendous health problems and make matters worse in any regard. And at the end they gain that quickly lost weight back because it was not a sustainable method. Yes, they did have quick success…but at what cost?

All processes and goals require time. We can’t force things into manifestation…we can work them into manifestation. All things have their own timing, be it weight loss or becoming financially free.

As a surfer you can’t controle the wave – you can only ride it.

If you want to lose weight for good, you better develop the habit of being patient, otherwise you will find yourself at the end of your life, frustrated, broke, ill and still overweight, blaming anything and anyone else but yourself. Losing weight for good is very much about letting go: letting go of the causes as well as of the extra fat. By being impatient you constantly disturb and stop the process you have started. Then you have to start all over again and you will never achieve enough momentum to achieve your desired goal. And this is really sad.

Here is what the typical diet process looks like:

People go on a diet and then stop. After a while they jump on the next bandwaggon, and when they realize that they don’t achieve their goal as they wished, so they stop again. That way they go from diet to diet and program to program, spending thousands of dollars and at the end they find themselves at the old starting point again, and at some point they simply give up. Nobody has enough willpower and energy for constantly losing and failing over a longer period of time. So dieters are literally forced to give up after a while.

Because of the nature of the dieting approach, people are FORCED to stop the process after some time, otherwise they would get too much deprived of vital substances and become severally ill. So their weight loss process is a constant stop and go and stop and go without gaining any momentum. But momentum is crucially important for any goal achievement process. That’s why patience is so important.

Without patience…no momentum. Without momentum…no goal achievement.

Therefore, patience is a necessary, indispensable part of your weight loss success.

“Patience is a necessary, indispensable part of your weight loss success.”

Would you ever open a petal so that the flower would bloom sooner? Would you break an egg just because you wanted to see that chicken be born sooner? Would you ever cut the cocoon of a butterfly just to let it fly before its time would have come to spread the wings?

Nobody who is reading this article would ever be that stupid. But why can so many women not come up with the same common sense when it comes to their weight loss?

Please keep in mind that you did not gain that extra fat within a few weeks or months. So why on earth can anybody expect to lose it that quickly? Our body is not a machine…it takes the body time to shift all the functions and make the necessary changes so that it can burn off the extra fat for you.

For your body, there is a lot of “underground” and foundational work required before you can see the results on your scale. Expecting the body to do its job much faster than it really can according to its own nature is simply not fair, it’s not realistic and it’s not sensible at all.

Here is a simple test whether you are on a fad or on a real cause-transformation weight loss program. If you are new to my system, fads lead to fast weight loss at the beginning but the results are not maintainable; the only maintainable method is to transform or eliminate the root causes so that your body doesn’t have the need to hang on to its extra fat anymore. In other words, you change the problem at the foundation, at its roots and the problem changes itself.

Here is the test:

If you lose weight immediately and if the weight loss gets slower and harder over time, you’re on a fad and doing something that is against your body’s nature. If it takes a while for the weight loss to show on the scale and weight loss slowly increases more and faster over time, then you’re on a cause transformation program. The first one leads to yo-yo dieting and the latter to lasting results.

Sheeps running off a cliff (www.freethoughtblogs.com)

The problem is that impatient people are constantly demanding and screaming for the next fad diet. They want immediate results. Of course they then complain for years after the diet failed. But sure enough, as soon as the next “new” diet will be advertised, they jump on that bandwaggon like headless sheeps following one another running off a cliff.

The lasting, maintainable approach of eliminating and transforming the root causes first is only for the smart, educated and patient kind of women. Unfortunately, many of these women have already gone through so many diets and programs that they have lost faith in their body’s capability to burn off fat. The only way for these women to achieve their desired weight goal is by cultivating patience

Cultivating patience is one of the first things for a successful weight loss process.

Happy slimming!

Why you need to be slim as a business owner, network marketer, freelancer or high executive

Why you need to be slim as a business owner, network marketer, freelancer or high executive

In a country like the USA for instance, where over 70% of the population is overweight and over 50% are obese, it’s easier to be in denial regarding one’s own weight. After all, 80% of the rest of the people are overweight as well, so what!

I have recently had many contacts with obese women in the USA and most of them are self-employed, network marketers or business owners. When I asked them if they knew people who want or need to lose weight they said, “No, I don’t know anybody.” Many of them even said, “I don’t need to lose weight,” although you could see from their pictures that they are morbidly obese.

This puzzled me, to say the least. How can people be so much in denial? Is it because 80% of the population is overweight as well? Does that make being overweight the new “normal”?

Like I said, most of these women are freelancers, network marketers or self-employed and you can see from their facebook profiles that they are working really hard to earn some money. But there is one thing they all forget.

There is a universal truth that says, “You first have to BE before you can HAVE.”

This truth is especially important to understand for business women. We can’t really succeed well with the same business behaviors men have. We can’t duplicate what men do. We can’t (or shouldn’t) work harder than men do just to get the raise. Real success is based on genuineness, authenticity and integrity. And by copying what men do we are none of these.

And there is something else business men differs from women: they can be fat and ugly and still be successful. The only reason is because they feel more sure about themselves. I know it’s not fair, but this is how the world is right now. It’s going to change, but for now we better do what’s necessary in order to be successful in business, and that begins with the BEing.

As an overweight woman you are – hopefully – totally accepted and respected by your family and your friends, and that gives you the feeling of being okay. Although, deep within you probably know that being overweight or obese is not really good for you.

The problem is that people outside of your closest circle think differently. They may not tell you and they may still treat you friendly, but deep within they are prejudiced. Right or wrong, people do judge others by the way they look, especially in business (unless you sell XXXL cloths and weight loss programs).

And it gets much worse.

According to a German study, this is what slim people think and say about overweight people:

  • “They are stupid.”
  • “They are undisciplined.”
  • “They are lazy.”
  • “They are ignorant.”
  • “They are hoggish.”
  • “They are weak-willed.”
  • “They smell badly.”
  • “They are unattractive.”
  • “They’re fat because it’s their own fault.”

Now what do you do when you are negotiating with a slim person who has that subconscious attitude about overweight people? Do you really think that person would buy your product or service? Maybe, but very unlikely.

What about overweight clients? Wouldn’t you expect them to be more understanding and tolerant?

On the outside, yes. But when it comes to business, no way! Why not? Because deep within they have the believe that they are failing and that being overweight or obese is their fault. And consequently they feel the same about you.

Just keep this in mind.

As a business owner, freelancer, network marketer or affiliate marketer you help others achieve goals and get what THEY want. But when you are overweight, your customers’ subconscious mind tells them that you are not capable of achieving goals and that therefore you can’t really help them get what THEY want. All this goes on on a subconscious level, no matter how tolerant and understanding they may otherwise be.

No matter what you sell – be it jewelry, supplements, coaching or real estate – you are in a less favorite situation as long as you are overweight or obese. If you want to become wildly successful, you have to DEMONSTRATE that you are not only an expert in your field but that you can also achieve your own goals and that you can also help your clients to get what they want.

If you’re struggling with losing weight, you’re doing something wrong…

If you’re struggling with losing weight, you’re doing something wrong…

“Sure,” you may respond, “I eat too much of the wrong food and I don’t exercise enough. That’s what I’m doing wrong.”

But what if you eat mainly healthy and not really a lot? What if you exercise regularly and don’t lose weight significantly?

Actually, with my title I meant something completely different. I’m not talking about things like “Eat this, not that,” or “Eat less and exercise more.” I’m not talking about tactics and methods. I’m talking about a particular mindset

One of the things I gained more clarity on in my life was the nature of “struggling” per se, and I remember especially two occurrences in my life when I really struggled a lot – and for years. The first big struggle was regarding my weight. This was a story going on for most of my childhood into my late twenties. Then, somehow, the struggle stopped – I just didn’t care about my weight any longer and shifted my focus onto my life. Instead of working on my weight, I was working on my happiness and self-worth. And the rest is history.

The second time I really struggled a lot was with my self-growth business in the 1980s. I was a single mom and I wanted to be with my daughter as much as possible. So I decided to build my own home-based coaching, seminar, and public speaking business. I did all right from the get go and we were lucky enough to always have some food on the table. And though some months I couldn’t pay my bills, I could always pay them the next month. However, I was never able to save any money for my daughter’s college or buy some special things like new furniture, a car, or nice clothes. It was just enough for what we really needed. And I was trying really, really hard.

Then, one day, I was very sick and very desperate. I had just found out that the women’s magazine I did many workshops for paid me less than other speakers and seminar leaders, although my seminars had the best and highest rates and always sold best, as they had told me.

I was a single mom and needed more money. The organizer became my best friend back then and she knew my situation. So she also knew that I depended on the magazine she was working for. When I found out that she had not told me the truth about my fee, I felt being taken advantage of. It was very frustrating to see that I was making that magazine so much money while I was doing all that work for them but was still struggling financially. It was very sad to realize that my best friend had lied to me.

So while lying in bed with high fever, I prayed and asked for a solution. I was too weak to do something, so I literally surrendered my problem.

Literally, within seconds, I was given a whole 9-month weight loss program with all the topics, with the content for a whole book and five CD’s. That was a weight loss program I had never seen before with many new ideas never heard of before – certainly not regarding weight loss. It was the total opposite of what other weight loss coaches offered. I even received the entire marketing concept. It was all there before my inner eyes at once. And all I had to do was get up and go to work.

The next morning, the fever was gone and I began writing the book. A few months later, I had finished that book, five CD’s, the curriculum and papers of a whole 9-month weight loss program, a workbook, and a marketing strategy, without ever having learned anything about marketing. That turned out to be one of the most successful marketing strategies ever.

Within only two weeks of the launch, all my 9-month workshops were filled. I only wanted to do two or three workshops, but I ended up doing twelve, the absolute maximum I could handle. But that was not enough. In fact, within four more weeks, I filled not only more workshops than I had planned to do…I filled them for another 9 months and was booked solid for the next two years.

That was proof to me that I had found something very special.

The interesting thing is that it took other coaches like Marianne Williamson, Geneen Roth, and Jon Gabriel more than a decade to come up with similar solutions, but all of them only offer parts of what I have found. What I was allowed to “download” from the Universe back then is still true today and I still teach these same principles in all of my workshops, seminars, and programs. And I am very surprised that I am still one of very few holistic weight loss coaches who can do that kind of work.

Now that I am writing all this down, – actually it’s the first time that I even share this with my readers – it even sounds to me like a miracle. And you know what? I think it was a miracle that happened that day and the years that followed. It was an enormous gift from God, not only to me, but to all of my clients also who had previously struggled with their weight and went from frustrating diet to diet. And now it can be a gift for you as well, if you are open and ready to learn a new way of weight loss make that one mindset shift.

Over the years, over 10,000 people (mostly women) have attended my workshops and seminars. Many had the same miraculous results I had with my weight loss. Others had to go through a different process than I had to in order to reach their weight goals. Sometimes, only a weekend workshop was all they needed for them to find the real cause and make the necessary shift from fat to slim. Others needed several months to find their real, underlying causes. But once they found it, losing weight became easier than ever before, really effortless, actually.

Why am I sharing this story with you?

Because I know that so many women have been struggling with their weight for years and just don’t seem to be able to find a way to lose their weight for good. They are all on a completely wrong route. With a small mindset shift and a new weight loss strategy, their weight struggle could end almost instantly.

Let me say that again.

With a small mindset shift and a new weight loss strategy, your weight struggle could end almost instantly.

What you must realize is that struggling in itself is a sign that you’re on the wrong path. As soon as you’re on the right path, the struggle ends and you can begin to see results – lasting results.

Struggling in itself is a sign that you’re on the wrong path.

For as long as you are struggling, you are literally holding on to what you don’t want: your excess weight. That way, it is impossible for you to get rid off those extra pounds.

*****************************************************************https://cdm.weightlossexpertsrevealthetruth.com/lm-4-pillars-of-lasting-weight-loss603eyu39

*****************************************************************

You see, what happened to me when I lost weight is that I had eliminated the causes of my weight issues – unknowingly, though. Yet, it worked. This is proof to me that this is the right path. It works whether or not you do it consciously, and whether or not you believe in the method. Once the cause has been transformed or eliminated, your body no longer needs to hold on to its extra fat. Because your extra fat is just a symptom. It’s your body trying to alert you of a problem. It’s your body’s way to communicate with you that there is something wrong you should take care of.  Your body has only one way of communicating with your: through symptoms. And once the cause is gone, the body doesn’t need to talk to you through extra fat any longer.

Unfortunately, by struggling with your weight you are exceeding the weight loss process, and for many this lasts a lifetime.

As long as you’re focusing on one or two methods, such as a diet and an exercise plan, you tend to expect too much of these tactics and disappointment is almost certain. You are constantly trying and going from diet to diet. On top of that you’re regularly weighing yourself, another way of keeping your current weight. That way, you can’t let go so easily. But it’s exactly the letting go that is a very important part of your weight loss process. Once you have let go and found the right solution, the struggle stops and losing weight becomes quite easy, very often even effortless.

It’s the letting go that is a very important part of your weight loss process.

Once you have let go and found the right solution, the struggle stops and losing weight becomes quite easy, very often even effortless.

The simplest trick is to let go. This requires a mindset shift.

Just let go! Let go of your expectations regarding how quickly your body needs to lose weight. Let go of your diet mentality. Let go of your quick-fix mentality. Let go of the belief that you knew how to lose weight better than your body does.

Just let go!!!

Happy slimming.

What is THE fastest way of losing weight?

What is THE fastest way of losing weight?

Why can people overeat with unhealthy food for decades, live the life of a coach potatoe, neglect their body, be in total denial regarding their psychology, and then expect to lose all that gained weight within only a few weeks?

Honestly, I don’t really have an answer to that question because I simply don’t understand such a lack of logical thinking. Of course, I do get that human beings are impatient and want to reach their goals ASAP once they have made a decision. But the gap between logic and the goal to lose weight fast is very, very big, especially with the diet approach.

One of the biggest issues is that people can’t distinguish between marketing messages and the truth. We have been told a million times that we can lose weight within seven to ten days. Plus, we are increasingly living in a world where we get everything at the push of a button. On thop ot that – to be totally fair – it’s a known fact that the current cell phone and WiFi technology shortens people’s attention span dramatically what leads to even worse impatience.

But where in all that is our common sense?

Well, maybe it’s just time to look at different weight loss methods to check which one is THE fastest.

Dieting

Since I have talked about the diet approach many times, I want to make this short. Dieting is against the body’s own nature and therefore can’t work long term. Going on a diet can give you some short term results but the weight will come back after a while. Depending on how many diets you have been trying or will choose to try, the constant up and down usually goes on for years and the person will eventually come to a point where she will resignate and give up all weight loss attempts.

So, although at the beginning you sometimes can lose weight quite quickly, what do you win at the end with yo-yo dieting?

Nothing!

By losing and gaining and losing and gaining you are not only jeopardizing your health, waste your precisouls life and make it more and more impossible for your body to lose extra fat.

Honestly, what is fast about that?

Exercise

Exercise alone has never been a fast tactic. Although exercise should always be part of a sensible weight loss strategy, it’s far from being fast nor maintainable. You can jog for an hour every day and 365 days and you may not even lose a pound. Believe me, I did it and that was the results. Zero weight loss.

And if you lose some weight and then stop exercising when you’ll get sick or older, you will gain the weight back.

Diet Pills

Like with any diet, at the beginning you may lose a lot of weight very quickly. But after a while you will gain it back because you didn’t take your body’s nature into consideration. You can’t fool your body.

Your body does not only know what you know. It also knows what you don’t know. Your body knows exactly what it needs to do to lose extra fat. But as long as you are interfering with diets and calorie reduction, you are forcing your body to go its own way, and it will do that because your body’s first job is to safe your life.

Therefore you can really say that your body has more common sense than you have….should you ever choose to take diet pills.

Since you will gain the lost weight back and even more, you can’t consider this to be a FAST method.

Gastric Surgery

In my humble opinion this is the most stupid way of losing weight, and any doctor who offers that kind of surgeries should be put in jail for a long time. Gastric surgery is slow murder.

No doubt, you can lose weight very quickly. But the price is very high. After such a surgery you will be sick for the rest of your life and there is very little you can eat. In other words, you are literally starving to death….slowly and surely. And not only that, after a few years you are going to gain that weight back.

So how is that FAST?

Liposuction

At first sight I would consider this to be the fastest method of losing weight.

But here too we have to take the body’s nature into consideration. Your body’s two main reasons for accumulating fat is acid and toxins. It creates fat when either of them increase to a level where it becomes dangerous for the body. In a loving attempt to safe your life, your body creates fat cells to store toxins and acid away in the safest possible way.

When you remove that fat, your body gets literally flooded with toxins and acid. And what would you do if you were your body? Create new fat. That’s one part.

The second part is that liposuction destroys part of the lymphs. This will create a new problem you probably didn’t have before. As soon as your lymphatic system doesn’t work properly anymore, you get lymph edemas, swollen legs and arms. Yes, it’s “just” water, but when you’re overweight, do you really care whether you have to get rid of fat or water? When the lymphatic system doesn’t work properly anymore, you will need compression stockings for the rest of your life. I’m not sure if you can call this a good solution.

Again, at the end of the day you can’t call this really “fast”.

Hypnoses

Hypnoses is a great method and I personally use several kinds of hypnoses in my coaching and therapy practice.

Hypnoses works partiularely well for compulsive eating and to suppress appetite.

The problem is that hypnoses alone is not a reliable problem solver as long as you don’t know the real, underlaying issues. Hypnoses alone therefore is not a reliable method….it can take months and years. But if you can find a weight loss coach who combines several methods and who can help you find the real physical and psychological causes, this can be a great solution. Depending on how much time it takes to address the real causes, weight loss can happen quite fast.

*****************************************************************

https://cdm.weightlossexpertsrevealthetruth.com/lm-4-pillars-of-lasting-weight-loss603eyu39

*****************************************************************

Psychotherapy

As a behavioral therapist I do believe in psychology. And in almost 40 years of my personal weight loss story and by working with over 10,000 individuals I can say with absolute certainty that 80% of a maintainable weight loss process is about the psychology.

But…there is a big “BUT”.

Psychotherapy is not fast. Traditional psychotherapy is about talking, talking, talking, and this can go on for years, even decades.

Yes, like I said, 80% is about the psychology. That should give you a realistic picture about a solid weight loss process. But there are also physical causes, emotional causes, even spiritual causes. A psychologist seldom understands all of them. I have met many psychologists who are even far from understanding all of the possible psychological issues that come with weight gain, especially if they never had to go through a weight loss process themselves. Those I know look at the issue soleley from the eating perspective too and why people overeat.

Although you may have a good chance for maintainable results, especially when the cause is the eating, it’s far from being “fast”.

Healthy Lifestyle

Although a healthy lifestyle ABSOLUTELY has to be part of a maintainable weight loss strategy, by itself it’s not a fast method and very often not even a lasting solution. The healthy lifestyle approach looks at weight issues exclusively from the physical standpoint and that’s never enough to make losing weight to last. Inner causes will not be transformed.

Therefore, maintainable only if the issue is the lifestyle and nothing else. Fast? Never.

The old way of losing weight

This is how most women go about losing weight. They go on a diet. Then when they realize that it doesn’t work, they quit. Some time later they try another method and fail again. They go from method to method and at the end they have to give up because they are desillusioned or have given up completely.

The New Way Of Losing Weight – 4 Pillars of Weight Loss

You may have heard me say that so far I have found 58 possible causes of weight gain. These causes can be physical ones (eating, lack of movement, hormones, high acidity levels, etc.), emotional ones, it can be the mindset (and the mindset is most of the time a huge contributing factor), and the unconscious. Again, 80% of the problem is the psychology, the part of the iceberg that is beneath the surface. But most known weight loss methods work only with the 20% of the visible part of the iceberg.

Thanks to decades of my own weight struggles and thanks to working with over 10,000 individuals I have been so fortunate to gain a completely different understanding of maintainable weight loss. I have spent over a decade of searching for other individuals with the same knowledge, hoping that I could give them my clients and enjoy my retirement. But to this day I only found one man who got close to what I know, but he can’t cover it all himself and works with a team of several experts. And he is still quite far from the truth, especially when it comes to female weight issues.

My 4 Pillar system takes the whole person, the whole being into consideration. We are body, mind AND spirit. We can’t solve a problem just on the physical level by ignoring the other parts of our beings.

Generally, everything you do on the physical level can lead to fast weight loss. But then you also want to keep the weight off. So what you do on the mental, emotional and unconscious level is the kind of transformation work you need to make your weight loss last. It’s an overall transformation process needed here.

So here at the Natural Weight Loss Academy we always work on all levels combined. The main focus is to find and address an individual’s  cause or causes. That’s why you can’t just offer one solution and hope to fix them all. A sensible, maintainable weight loss process is always individualized. And since we work on all levels, we can exclude the yo-yoing most of the time, unless an individual cheats and is on a diet without telling me.

So minus the yo-yoing, and by securing that the weight loss will last, you can honestly say that this is THE fastest way of losing weight for women (for men it’s easier any way, so we are only talking about women here). Depending on the weight a woman starts the process at and depending on her seriousness and commitment, it can take anything between three months and three years. The heavier a woman is, the longer it will take, of course.

Let me share two examples.

Example 1

One of my current clients – let’s call her Jessica – joined my Facebook tribe four weeks ago. She jumped in both feet and took action on all the daily action steps right away. Not all the steps were easy for her – that’s normal – but she always discussed things with me. She never said, “I can’t.” Instead, she always asked, “What can I do with this problem?”

During the first two weeks nothing happened. She just went through the process and trusted the process. In week 3 she suddenly lost 5 pounds and 6 inches. This was during Thanksgiving week and she ate anything she wanted, even dessert. The only thing she did was watching her psychology and enjoying the family gatherings.

Two of Jessica’s most outstanding characteristics are her commitment to lose weight and be healthy, and her consistency in going through the process. She started at day 1 and never missed any of the daily action steps, no matter how small or silly they seemed to her.

Example 2

Another client of mine – Ruth – went through my SheSlimEasy program 5 years ago and lost weight nicely. I emphasized that she should make sure to stay on the path and later move forward on the SheSlimForever process to make her weight loss maintainable. Recently she joined my Facebook tribe and admitted that she could only keep her weight by dieting and regular cleansing. In other words, she completely ignored the psychological part, the 80% of the process. And not only that, she lost everything she had accomplished five years ago and now has to start all over again.

Ruth has always been kind of reluctant, the opposite of Jessica. She was afraid of her emotions and of bursting into tears when working with me. That was proof to me that one of her major causes of weight issues is the way she is dealing with emotions. Unfortunately she didn’t understand that every tear she cried while going through the transformation process with me means losing weight for her.

During a one-on-one session over the phone with me she began to realize that she can’t block the process emotionally and still hope to achieve lasting weight loss. So she decided to trust the  process. As a result, within only one hour of coaching she could solve and transform several issues.

Working with the 4 Levels

Just in case that you feel overwhelmed by the 58 possible causes, my system includes figuring out each client’s effective causes very quickly.

Of course, if you are trying to do it by yourself, it may take years. Please keep in mind, that we all have our black spots. No psychologist can do it by herself/himself. It would literally take centuries. But maybe you are the exception.

Or you can work through your psychological issues with your psychologist. I’m sure you will make some great progress, but the question is how long it will take.

If you are at the point where you realize the benefits of my 4 pillars of lasting weight loss, you have two options:

1.) Workshops or group coachings

2.) One-on-one coaching sessions

Both possibilities are very valuable. The group setting is very interesting because you see the struggles of other women and you also get a lot of encouragement from the other members. The downside is that it may take longer because I have to work with several individuals at the same time.

If you need to lose weight fast and if you have the means, then the one-on-one coaching setting is certainly the best choice.

Of course, a big contributing factor to your weight loss progress and success is your willingness to open up and be willing to work through the processes. If you bring that to the table, we can transform each of your effective causes within one to five sessions, depending on the intensity of the issue.

These are the steps of my 4 pillars of lasting weight loss:

Step 1: Habit Transformation (SheSlimEasy)

Step 2: Detox & Cleansing (SheSlimFast)

Step 3: Weight Loss Mindset (SheSlimSmart)

Step 4: Transformation of the Inner Causes (SheSlimForever)

Maybe, by now you are getting a pretty clear understanding of the effectiveness of my 4 Pillar process.

Conclusion

Changing your diet may bring you a step ahead.

Following a fitness program may bring you a step ahead.

Thinking positive may bring you two steps ahead.

Going through the 4 Levels and eliminating the real causes is entirely different ball game. It’s a transformation process. It does not only get two or three steps ahead….it brings you right to the top of your goal. And not only that, at the same time it can improve your relationships, it can reduce your stress levels, it can improve your professional life, and it definitely will  improve your health and longevity.

Finding the REAL causes of weight gain and eliminating or transforming them makes the body fat obsolete. As soon as we understand our body’s message and solve the problem, the body has no longer a need to hold on to the extra fat and can burn it almost instantly.

Since I don’t work with diets, there is hardly any bouncing unless it’s about the normal hormonal cycle. Therefore, we can honestly say that working on all four levels of the human being is THE fastest weight loss method because it is maintainable.

At the beginning it may take a while for the body to realize what’s going on. But once the process gains some momentum, weight loss can be fast and effortless. Very often, my clients don’t even realize that they have lost weight because they are feeling good despite of the weight and stopped weighing.

Now I have to leave it up to you to make a decision for yourself. Do you want your weight loss to be hard or smart? Do you want to keep yo-yo dieting or do you want to put an end to it? Do you want to go from diet to diet or do you choose a more effortless way?

The choise is yours and yours alone.

Which one is winning? Your overweight You or your slim You?

Which one is winning? Your overweight You or your slim You?

No time of the year is so predestined to reveal whether a person is living in her “Slim Self” or her “Overweight Self”.

It starts before Thanksgiving when millions of women begin to worry about their weight and the outlook of gaining even more weight between Thanksgiving and New Year.

What most women then do is deciding to go the “easy route” and eat as much as they can during the Holiday and then to go on a diet January 2nd. These women are living in their “Fat Self”.

They constantly focus on weight gain.

Even thinking about going on a diet is living in the “Fat Self”. It’s the typical mindset of an overweight woman.

I don’t know who the author of this quote is, but he or she is spot on. No one could have said it better, shorter and clearer.

The body achieves what the mind believes.

There is no other way. This is how we humans have been created.

We are creators by nature. We create through the combination of our thinking and the emotions. When a thought and an emotion meet, that’s when we are creating our life circumstances….our fate.

The same is true with our health and weight.

Your current weight totally reflects your thinking in the past a 100%. What you have been believing about food and weight in the past, your body realized and you can now see it as a “fact”.

Living in your “Fat You”

A woman who is living in her fat self is somebody who constantly counts calories, worries about food, worries about her weight, worries about how she is looking. I have met thousands of women who’s thinking constantly circles around food and weight all day long without being fully aware of.

Such a person is living in her “Fat Self”. She is living and breathing weight gain. She constantly nourishes her creation tools – her thoughts and her emotions – with information regarding GAINING weight.

Living in your “Slim You”

No slim woman would ever do that, unless she had just lost weight and is now afraid of gaining it back. But then she is still in her “Fat Self”.

Women who live in their “Slim Self” have completely different thoughts about food. They ask themselves what they can eat to remain healthy and energetic. They are on the lookout for healthy, natural food.

Around the Holidays their focus is on enjoying their loved ones and being with their family and friends. Their focus is on joy, not on food stress.

Maybe they don’t want to eat too much because it makes them feel stuffed and they don’t like that feeling. So they enjoy eating in moderate amounts, but not out of worry but out of care for their health and because they want to feel good in their body. Feeling good in her body is what matters most for her.

By the way, people who truly enjoy the eating and every bite of it, can hardly over-eat.

Or she may choose to drink a glass of water before each meal to help her body to digest the food better.

Women who are operating from their “Slim Self” are constantly on the lookout for what is good for their health and have no focus on the weight. When they choose healthy food they constantly choose out of wisdom (not out of fear); and when they choose to exercise they do so because they want to stay healthy (not because they want to burn some calories).

Maintainable weight loss begins in your head

Let me share an example that one of the members of my Facebook group has experienced during Thanksgiving week. She ate everything she wanted and enjoyed being with her family. Yet during that week most overweight women fear, she has lost 5 pounds and 6 inches. Two days ago she informed me that she could maintain that weight loss.

How did she accomplish that?

By taking each and every daily baby step I have layed out in my Facebook group and by doing the inside work. Again, 80% of your weight loss success is beneath the surface: in your psychology and unconscious mind.

It is my deepest hope that you are beginning to understand how much maintainable weight loss is a mindset game and not a calorie game.

It’s true that 80% of your weight loss success is about your psychology, about what is going on in your mind (not in your digestive track).

Developing the right mindset requires a lot of self-discipline, but it’s a different kind of self-discipline than the one required for diets and easier to come up with.

When you’re on a diet, you can come up with as much discipline as you want, your subconscious mind is always going to win the battle and you’re going to lose. You have no chance, no matter how strong your discipline and willpower are.

But coming up with the discipline of the right thinking, that’s where your success begins. That’s where your discipline will be well “invested” and fall on fertile ground.

Happy Holiday…and happy slimming!

How To Treat Your Body For Maintainable Weight Loss, Optimal Health & Longevity

How To Treat Your Body For Maintainable Weight Loss, Optimal Health & Longevity

Did you know that from your body’s perspective weight gain is a life saving mechanism?

In my last blog post I scratched the surface of the acid-alkaline imbalance and the toxins.

In its wisdom, our body stores acid and toxins away in fat tissue.

Why does it do that?

Because, if toxins and acid would get into the blood stream and the vital organs, we would quickly die. Storing these substances in the fat tissue does the organism the least harm. Of course, the body knows that it begins to look ugly, but this is the lesser of two evils.

Fortunately the body knows exactly what it has to do and it does that without fail….as long as it is mainly healthy.  Of course, when the toxic and acidic load gets too much, there comes a point when the body can no longer deal with.

“I think now we are in the experimental time with all of human creation in genetically modified, and irradiated, and sprayed with pesticides, Monsantos injecting into seed round up ready alfa alfa seeds and corn and all of these stuff that have pesticides injected right into it, so you eat the pesticide when you eat the food. And we are in a experimental world right now, we don’t know the nightmares that we are creating.” –Cherie Calbom

Let me repeat that:

We don’t know the nightmares that we are creating for ourselves, our weight, our health, and our longevity.

Thank goodness our body is smart and it follows exactly the rules of nature….without fail…..24/7……365 days a year.

Isn’t that a good reason to be very grateful to our body and to love it deeply?

But you and I know that most overweight women are far from being appreciative toward their bodies.

When you buy a new car, you probably decide to use premium gasoline because the car runs longer with the better quality fuel. You know that if you would use the cheaper regular fuel your car would die sooner and you don’t want to buy a new car earlier than necessary. Besides, repairs would cause even higher costs. You treat it well to prevent it from getting rusty. You get regular oil changes and the breaks tested. You treat it well and clean it well. So you are wise and you do what’s best for your car.

When the oil lamp goes on, you take the car to the garage and get the leaky oil tank fixed. You pump gas before it’s completely down because you don’t want to walk miles to the next gas station. You treat your vehicle wisely and take care well.

But how about your body?

Do you eat organically grown fruits and vegetables? Do you eat clean animal products from grass fed and organically fed animals? Do you eat foods that haven’t been tampered with and genetically modified just for the sake of bigger profits? Do you take your time to lovingly cook a healthy meal or do you just throw a pre-made pizza or an aluminum box with lasagne into the microwave oven?

Are you taking care of your body well? Do you love, pamper it, thank it, shine it?

“And it’s the same way with us, we can say, well this food it’s cheaper or tastes better or whatever and I would just rather do this, but what is happening to our bodies when we do that?  They are dying.” –Cherie Calbom

What is very interesting is that we often treat our cell phones, TV sets and cars wiser than we treat our own body.

Why is it that people don’t get that?

The consequences come faster and are costly. When the body aches, you can go to the doctor and get a pain killer or a sleeping pill.

https://cdm.weightlossexpertsrevealthetruth.com/lm-4-pillars-of-lasting-weight-loss603eyu39

The body is saying, “Hey, wak up, wake up, I’m in stress, I need your help!” It’s constantly trying to communicate with us for our best survival.

But we don’t wake up. We don’t listen. People complain about the pain, about their headaches and sleeping problems. And then they go to the doctor and say, “I need a pill”. They don’t consider that their headache, pain or sleeping problem might be caused by a toxic or acid overload. And by taking pills that are loaded with toxins they make matters even worse.

“Often times we go to the doctor and they give us a pill and the pill has side effects, and then they give another pill to people and then another pill because it creates other side effects and they never get to the root of what caused the problem in the first place.  Was the body screaming for help, either saying you are giving me too much of this bad stuff and not enough of what I need to create a healthy body?” –Cherie Calbom

Symptoms like headache, fatigue, sleeping problems, etc. are really all just signals, warning signals sent from our body.

Here too, I like to use the analogy with the car. When suddenly the oil lamp goes on, you have three choices: you can change the oil, you can smash the lamp so that it doesn’t burn anymore or you can ignore it. If you ignore it, the car will break and you will either need a new motor or a new car. You would only do that once and then never again. You can also smash the light bulb so that it doesn’t burn anymore, but that’s only symptom treatment, it doesn’t treat the cause. For every kind of problem you need to solve, you always have to look at the cause. The symptom is nothing but a warning signal that wants to encourage you to look at the cause and to eliminate the causel problem.

When you are faced with a symptom, you have three choices to deal with the symptom:

a) You can ignore it.

b) You can silence it (by taking pills).

c) You can eliminate or reverse the cause.

With your car you do that, you take care of you car. But most of us forget that symptoms like a headache or weight gain, for example,  is nothing but a signal as well. It’s a lamp that goes on and tells you, hey, be careful, take care, there is something you have to change. But people take pills. You would be surprised how well many people can live without ever taking a pill.

Weight gain is a SYMPTOM too!

You don’t need to get a gastric bypass. You don’t need to take appetite suppressants. You don’t need to buy pre-maid and packaged ‘Light’ food. You don’t need a 1000 calorie diet.

All you need is common sense and love and respect for your body.

“We’ve been given on this earth all that we need for our good health, the herbs and the plants and the green leaves and the fresh vegetables and the whole grains that haven’t been tampered with, genetically modified and then if we are not vegan then clean animal products that are grass fed and pure and that was given to us on this earth. It’s time to go back to whole foods, that’s what gives our body that vibrant health and life.” –Cherie Calbom

But what can you do, you may ask.

Well, I’m glad you asked, because then there is hoope for you.

Keep your common sense and apply a healthy lifestyle. The answers are all there provided in nature.

Good health!
